Plants are the soul of a garden, adding flesh to the bones of the structure you create with the hard landscaping. The mix of plants used can create a scheme that defines a garden’s character, from low-maintenance native gardens to elaborate flower-filled cottage gardens or a tropical oasis — plants complete a garden.
Each site is different with varying soil conditions, weather conditions and an owner’s availability and desire for maintenance. Plants can be functional as well as purely aesthetic, whether it be for food, shelter or privacy.
